Stories, emotion, creativity, and adventure are our travelling companions as we develop English language skills on our journey into the Amazon. Inspired by the art of Tarsila do Amaral, we will move through the most biodiverse place on the planet and will experience a world of different emotions. We will also explore Tarsila’s fascinating creative world, taking a look at the marvelous animals and plants that live in her exuberant tropical forests, with their astonishing colors and bright light.
Like Tarsila, who was associated with the modernist movement known as Anthropophagy, we will “digest” the most nutritious elements in the exhibition to make our own art, choosing what we liked best. We will also listen to the story of a gluttonous anaconda, recreating the rainforest and its biodiversity with animal masks.
