Location

The Museum will be screening a series of documentaries and fiction films selected in connection with the exhibition Arts of the Earth. The programme invites viewers to reflect on different ways of inhabiting the Earth in the past, present, and future, through stories in which culture and nature are intertwined.
Indigenous knowledge as a form of resistance to deforestation in the Amazon, the intervention of Victorian naturalists on Ascension Island, a fable about a world in which humans must hibernate in order to survive, the rural world of “emptied” Spain, or the life of a woman beekeeper in Macedonia are some of the subjects and perspectives addressed. The Friday screenings will feature the participation of Anna Cornudella Castro and Juan Palacios, who will talk with the audience about the films they have directed.
